Najeeb Haroon Resigns as  MNA

Pak Chronicle Report

Islamabad

A founding member of ruling party Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) and Member National Assembly (MNA) Muhammad Najeeb Haroon has submitted his resignation as MNA to Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan.

In his resignation letter he also revealed the factors which led him to resign as an MNA.

Following is the complete content of his resignation letter.

“My Dear Imran Khan Sb,

Chairman PTI and Prime Minister of Islamic Republic of Pakistan.

I have just finished my Fajr prayers here at my residence in Bani Gala just across your house.

20 months after taking oath as member of the National Assembly of Pakistan and 24 years after we formed Pakistan Tehreek e Insaaf under your able leadership, I very strongly feel that I have failed to enjoy your confidence/trust.

Unfortunately I have not been able to contribute anything towards betterment/improvement of my constituency or my home town Karachi or my beloved country Pakistan. While I have full faith in Allah and I would like to repose my confidence in you as well being the only leader under whose dream that Pakistan will change and our children will not have to leave their motherland for greener pastures abroad.

In complete submission to Almighty Allah and with utmost humility, I beg to submit my resignation as member of the esteemed National Assembly of Pakistan with a humble request that it may kindly be forwarded to the Speaker for further disposal.

I have reflected with sadness on the above decision for last eight months that is after completion of our first year. While I have not been a burden on the national exchequer for a single rupee during the last 20 month, still my conscience guides me that I do not justify/deserve to stay in the position.

As a founding father of the party and as the only serving member of the  Founding Central Executive Committee of the party who could reach the National Assembly, I would strongly urge you to

Kindly consider the following:

My status as the Founding Father of the party may kindly be held in the party records and I wish to continue as member of PTI as long as I live.

Following the example of our Holy Prophet (PBUH) party loyalty/faithfulness should be number one criteria while giving responsibilities. The order of competence, capacity, experience, expertise and temperament can always be altered.

Public hearing of all individuals will help bring to surface all good and bad things about them in good time that is before assigning them public offices which are an Amanat/Guardianship questioned on the Day of Judgment.

While I always admired your captaincy, leadership, passion, fearlessness, at this juncture you will be needing and I am very humbly suggesting more than ever before wisdom, mature advise, humility and loyalists who can gel as a team to rescue this nation of 220 million populace.

My prayers and best wishes will always be with you, more because I am fully vested in Pakistan and has nowhere to go but live and die here.

We all are hostage to our dreams, may Allah help you fulfill yours.

Best of luck and stay blessed.

Sincerely Muhammad Najeeb Haroon Dated April 16, 2020
